Sources of Lead
SOFT LEAD
Available through metal dealers and some hardware stores.
Lead may be the worlds most recycled metal. Scrap lead in the form
of sheathing, plumbing and flashing is soft lead. Check your telephone
directory for local SCRAP METAL or SALVAGED METAL dealers. These
can be economical sources for salvaged soft lead.
HARD LEAD
Scrap lead in the form of wheel weights and line-o-type
is hard lead. Used wheel weights can be obtained at many service
stations and tire stores. We do not recommend hard lead for use in
Do-it molds.
